How it works

From an empty installation to a caregiver recording a dose at the bedside. In practice this takes an afternoon.

1. Your care home is installed at your own address We provision a complete installation — your own database, on your own server, at an address you choose. Nobody else's residents are anywhere near it.
2. You are given an administrator account Your nominated administrator receives their credentials by email and signs in to the administration site. From there they run everything.
3. You create your caregivers Each caregiver is created by the administrator — they cannot register themselves. They receive an invitation with a temporary password and must choose their own on first sign-in.
4. You register residents, once consent is given You enter the resident's details and the contact address from the care contract. A consent request is emailed. Only when consent is given does the resident record come into existence.
5. You assign residents to caregivers A consented resident is sent to a caregiver's phone. It appears there at the next synchronisation, and the caregiver takes over day-to-day recording.
6. Care is recorded at the bedside Doses given, appointments attended, notes made — recorded on the phone as they happen, and visible to the care home and to the family straight away.

When things change

What we need from you

Very little, but it is worth being clear, because a trial only tells you something if it is actually used:

• A name for the site — usually a subdomain of your own domain.
• Someone willing to act as administrator, who will create the caregivers and residents. This is not a technical role, but it is a real one.
• A few caregivers prepared to use the app with residents in their care.
• An email address for consent requests, taken from the care contract.
